Tucson
Moto Tours is a guide-service created for experienced riders to be
able to enjoy great riding in the open desert, primarily in the extended
southwest region of Tucson, Arizona. Through years of exploring this
area, Tucson Moto Tours has acquired the experience and knowledge
to connect the endless trails and dirt roads into loops extending
beyond 100 miles for 100% pure off-road riding.
All
rides start from Tucson Moto Tours located at Diamond Bell Ranch.
Our routes will take us across picturesque open desert, and over mountainous
terrain with awesome views. Our routes include something like what
you would find riding Baja, which includes many types of riding.
We
personalize our service by keeping our groups small, usually 1 to
3 experienced riders and 1 or 2 guides. We adjust our pace to assure
everyone is having fun without pushing their limits. Our rides are
not speed contests, but we ride to have fun. Each rider must
ride at their own pace, regardless of others' abilities. As we follow
each other, each rider will stop at a fork in the trail to assure
the following rider sees the direction of travel so there is absolutely
no need to "keep-up."
We
ride across a vast, deserted area that requires we ride with a healthy
regard for safety. A chase-truck is not able to follow, but
we are able to get a truck to a stranded bike. Some cellular phones
do not have a signal, but we have found "roaming" provides
a signal in most of the area. Emergency care is obtainable,
but not expedient.
The
primary Guide is Brian Blangsted. He has over 30 years of riding experience
and has ridden thousands of miles thoughout the United States and
Europe, both on-road and off-road. He is a veteran racer and
track day instructor, and also a Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCoach
for on-road and off-road training.
